Celebrating Neurodiversity: Strength in Difference.
London | 18 March 2026
Leverage Security has marked Neurodiversity Celebration Week by reaffirming its commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive working environment that recognises the strengths of diverse ways of thinking. Observed annually, the week provides an opportunity for organisations and communities to recognise and value the wide spectrum of cognitive differences. Leverage Security emphasised that neurodiversity should not be viewed as a challenge to overcome, but rather as a powerful driver of insight, creativity, and innovation.
In a statement issued this week, the company noted that individuals bring unique perspectives shaped by how they think, learn, and process information. These differences, it said, enrich workplaces and contribute meaningfully to broader societal progress.
Leverage Security also encouraged reflection across its workforce on how inclusive practices can be strengthened. It highlighted that simple, everyday actions - such as active listening, offering flexibility, and recognising varied approaches to problem-solving - can have a significant and lasting impact.
“Creating an environment where people feel understood and supported is essential. When individuals are empowered to think differently, organisations benefit from stronger ideas, better decision-making, and greater innovation.” said Furqan Alam, Managing Director.
The company concluded by urging continued commitment beyond the awareness week itself, stressing that inclusion should be embedded in everyday practice rather than treated as a one-off initiative.
As Neurodiversity Celebration Week continues, Leverage Security has called on organisations and individuals alike to embrace diversity in thought, recognising it not merely as something to acknowledge, but as a fundamental strength to be championed year-round.
Leverage Security Highlights Strategic Engagement at Security & Policing Event 2026
Hampshire | 10-12 March 2026
Leverage Security is proud to reflect on the participation of its Chief Operating Officer, Satia Rai, at this year’s Security & Policing Event 2026, a flagship gathering that continues to shape the future of national security, public safety, and law enforcement collaboration across the United Kingdom.
The event brought together leading professionals from across government, policing, and the private sector, offering a platform for critical dialogue on the evolving threat landscape and the strategies required to address it. Throughout the programme, a series of thought leadership sessions provided valuable insight into emerging risks and operational responses.
A key theme highlighted during the event was the changing nature of terrorism and the continued relevance of the Run Hide Tell guidance. Discussions emphasised the importance of widespread awareness and practical application of this approach in mitigating harm during incidents. A particularly impactful case study demonstrated how the implementation of this guidance during a real-world terrorist event contributed directly to saving lives, reinforcing its vital role in organisational preparedness.
The conference also placed significant focus on community safety, including dedicated sessions addressing violence against women and girls (VAWG). These discussions underscored the scale of ongoing efforts across agencies and highlighted the urgent need for deeper collaboration between stakeholders to drive meaningful change. The importance of partnership working remains central to tackling complex societal challenges and enhancing public protection.
In addition to the formal programme, the event provided valuable opportunities for engagement with industry peers, enabling the exchange of ideas and strengthening of professional networks across the security and policing landscape.
Leverage Security remains committed to supporting initiatives that advance safety, resilience, and collaborative approaches to risk management. Participation in events such as Security & Policing 2026 ensures the organisation stays at the forefront of industry developments, continuing to deliver informed and effective security solutions for its clients and partners.

Today we celebrate a role that requires the highest level of leadership, resilience and care - Motherhood.

15 March 2026, London
Leverage Security has marked Mother’s Day with a formal tribute recognising the leadership, resilience and dedication demonstrated by mothers in both professional and family life. The organisation highlighted the parallels between maternal responsibilities and the qualities required in high-level security and executive roles.
Leverage Security has issued a statement celebrating Mother’s Day, honouring the pivotal role mothers play not only within their families but also across leadership positions in business and security. In a message released earlier today, the firm emphasised that motherhood demands “the highest level of leadership, resilience and care”, drawing attention to the often-overlooked overlap between maternal responsibilities and executive decision-making.
The organisation noted that many mothers operate at the highest levels of leadership, guiding organisations, managing teams and making critical decisions, while maintaining a central role in family life. It highlighted the example of senior executives who begin their day shaping corporate strategy, lead decisively in boardrooms, and address complex operational challenges -before returning home to provide guidance, stability and support to their children.“Different arenas, the same exceptional leadership,” the statement read, underscoring the consistency of skills required across both domains.
Leverage Security further observed that mothers embody many of the core attributes associated with effective security professionals, including vigilance, accountability, resilience and an unwavering commitment to those in their care. The company concluded its message by recognising “the women who lead with strength at work and with heart at home”, extending its appreciation to mothers within its workforce and beyond.
The statement forms part of broader Mother’s Day acknowledgements across the corporate sector, with organisations increasingly recognising the dual contributions of working mothers in both professional and domestic spheres.

Race
Equality
Week
"Equality is not a message we market.
It is a value we must live - consistently and visibly."

6 February 2026, London, UK
During Race Equality Week, Leverage Security reaffirms its commitment to fostering equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of its business, from mobile and electronic security to on-site protection services.
Furqan Alam, Managing Director of Leverage Security, emphasises that “the most powerful stories aren’t crafted, they’re proven through action.” For the company, equality is not merely a statement, it is embedded in corporate culture, partnerships, recruitment, and engagement with the communities it serves. Representation, fairness, and respect remain central to every aspect of Leverage Security’s operations, whether protecting clients digitally, electronically, or on-site.
The company underlines that diversity and inclusion are not seasonal talking points or marketing campaigns. They are a daily commitment, visible in decision-making, whose voices are amplified, and how accountability is upheld when bias - intentional or otherwise - occurs.
Race Equality Week serves as both a moment of reflection and a catalyst for action. “It is a moment to pause, to listen without defensiveness, to challenge assumptions, and to ensure our values translate into systems and behaviours,” added Alam.
“As leaders, communicators, and allies, we have a responsibility to ensure that the brands we build today help create a fairer society tomorrow. Equality is everyone’s job. And the work doesn’t end this week,” Furqan Alam concluded.
By embedding these principles across mobile, electronic, and on-site security services, Leverage Security demonstrates that true progress comes from accountability, sustained commitment, and the consistent translation of values into action.

On World Cancer Day, we write this not from experience, but from safety.
And because of that, we want to say this first - we cannot pretend to understand.
We cannot understand the fear, the pain, the waiting, or the quiet strength it takes to keep going. We cannot understand what it means to hear a diagnosis, to endure treatment, or to carry the experience long after the world believes it has passed.
What we can do is acknowledge - with the deepest respect - that those who have been through cancer carry a courage many of us may never fully comprehend.
Today is not about saying, “we know how you feel.”
Because we don’t. And we should not claim to.
Today is about listening.
About honouring.
About standing gently beside you, without assumptions or comparisons.
It is also about hope, hope for earlier detection, kinder treatments, stronger support systems and a future where fewer people ever have to walk this road.
From those who have been spared, to those who have endured - we wish, with sincerity and humility, for a world where cancer is prevented, treated swiftly, and someday, forever left behind.
With respect. With warmth. And with unwavering hope.

Through engagement with women in training and operational positions, Leverage Security has gained valuable insight into the importance of religious observance in professional security environments. It is also recognised as a deeply personal expression of individual values and lived experience.
Blue Light Hijab: A Safety-Compliant Solution for the Security Sector
The Blue Light Hijab is a pioneering, safety-compliant piece of professional uniform wear designed to meet the operational requirements of security roles while respecting religious observance. Developed through extensive research and collaboration with academic partners, the hijab balances modesty, comfort and safety, ensuring no compromise on performance or protection.
Expanding Access Across the Private Security Industry
As part of this partnership, Leverage Security has confirmed that the Blue Light Hijab will be accessible to women across the private security sector and beyond, helping to remove practical and systemic barriers to entry, retention and career progression.
Furqan Alam, Managing Director of Leverage Security, commented, “This initiative reflects our responsibility as an employer and industry leader to ensure that talent is never excluded due to avoidable practical barriers. By making the Blue Light Hijab available, we are enabling greater access, representation and opportunity across the security industry.”
Leadership Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion in Security
Satia Rai DIR.IPSA F.ISRM MSyl, Chief Operating Officer of Leverage Security, added, “We want Muslim women to feel seen, respected and valued within protective services. You belong. You matter. And we will continue to remove barriers through action, not aspiration.”
Leverage Security also recognised Yassin Desai for his vision and leadership in bringing the Blue Light Hijab initiative to life, alongside Daniel Garnham for his continued partnership in advancing inclusive change within the security sector.
Driving Meaningful Change in the Security Industry
This partnership forms part of Leverage Security’s wider equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) strategy, reinforcing the organisation’s belief that when women thrive, communities thrive. Through practical initiatives and industry collaboration, Leverage Security continues to drive positive, measurable and lasting change across the UK private security industry.

From Pain to Power: Women Unite to Break the Silence on Violence”
29 November 2025
We proudly supported a powerful event organised by Riaz Gull the founder of Sharifa Ibrahim Foundation, co-sponsored by Leverage Security and International Professional Security Association (IPSA). It was an evening filled with courage, honesty and an unshakeable call for change.
Every woman on that stage shared a piece of her journey — stories scarred by bullying, silencing, discouragement, survival, and heartbreaking loss. Some were survivors of abuse. Others were sisters of the women who didn’t survive — women who were taken too soon, murdered for simply existing. Writing this today makes my hands shake, but it strengthens my resolve. It trembles my heart, but it raises my voice.
This must change. Now.
The event opened with the powerful beat of the dhol, setting the perfect energy to welcome a wave of transformation. And from that moment, the atmosphere shifted.
Nourine S Noor held up a mirror to reality, reminding us of the truths we can no longer ignore.
Payzee Mahmod shook our souls with her raw honesty and unmatched courage.
Satia Rai DIR.IPSA F.ISRM MSyl awakened our minds to action, proving that awareness without movement means nothing.
Saiqa Akbar gave voice to mothers everywhere, speaking with a depth that resonated through the room.
Tami Blay brought to life the everyday experiences of professionals, showing us the resilience women carry into every workspace.
And Harpreet Kaur led the way, opening doors to limitless solutions and inspiring belief in what is possible.
In a single evening, we lived through centuries of pain, strength, resilience and hope — all from one stage. That is the power of Sharifa Ibrahim Foundation SIF’s Women’s Day.
Let’s keep the momentum going.
Let’s keep the feelings alive.
Let’s keep the actions building.
Let’s keep the impact visible.
Let’s light the path for the generations to come.
Let’s uplift other women.
Let’s stand together.
Let’s stand tall.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
- a global call to action that none of us can afford to ignore.

Today marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women - a global call to action that none of us can afford to ignore.
At Leverage Security, we are co-sponsoring a dedicated awareness event in recognition of this important day, standing alongside partners, allies and colleagues in reaffirming our commitment to creating safe environments for women (along with every gender) everywhere. The event is organised by Sharifa Ibrahim Foundation.
As an active member of the Employers' Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA), we recognise that workplaces play a crucial role in supporting those affected by domestic abuse. The responsibility does not rest solely with specialist organisations, it rests with all of us.
Every employer, every team and every leader has the power to make a difference.
Today, we are asking our network to take three meaningful actions:
🔸 Pause and reflect:
Acknowledge the reality that millions of women experience violence, often silently and without support.
🔸 Learn and share:
Equip yourself and your colleagues with the knowledge to recognise the signs of domestic abuse and respond safely.
🔸 Commit to change:
Advocate for policies, resources and culture that protect and empower women along with every gender within your organisation and beyond.
By using our collective voice, we can amplify awareness, challenge stigma, and foster workplaces where safety, dignity and respect are non-negotiable.

International Men’s Day Calls for Compassion, Courage and Open Conversations
Amid Unseen Challenges Facing Men

Today, on International Men’s Day, we are taking a moment to reflect on the men in our lives - colleague, friend, father, brother, son, mentor - who show up with strength, kindness and quiet resilience.
This day isn’t about celebrating perfection. It’s about acknowledging the real experiences men face: the pressure to stay strong, the unspoken expectations, the moments of struggle that often go unnoticed.
It’s also about recognising the importance of men’s mental and physical wellbeing. Too many still feel they must carry difficulties alone. If there’s one message worth amplifying today, it’s this:
"Seeking support is a sign of courage, not weakness."
To all the men who lead with empathy, who support others, who show up even when the world tells them to stay silent - thank you. Your presence matters more than you may realise.
Let’s continue creating workplaces and communities where men feel able to speak openly, ask for help, and be valued not just for what they do, but for who they are.
Here’s to healthier conversations, genuine connection and a more compassionate future, for everyone.

Honouring the Frontline
Reflections from International Security Officer Day 2025
A Day to Reflect. A Moment to Celebrate.
On 24 July, Leverage Security had the honour of attending International Security Officer Day 2025, hosted by Meta in collaboration with the International Professional Security Association (IPSA) and The Security Institute.
Held at Meta’s Cubitt Square office in London, the event brought together leaders, colleagues, and professionals from across the industry to do something we don't do often enough: pause, look around, and recognise the people who keep our world secure — quietly, constantly, and without the expectation of thanks.
The Unseen Backbone of Safety
Every day, frontline security officers are the first in, last out.
They handle the unpredictable with calm professionalism.
They carry out their work without headlines or applause — just purpose.
At Leverage Security, we know how critical this work is. And on ISOD, it was inspiring to be in a room where that recognition was felt so powerfully.
There were shared stories. Genuine moments of gratitude. A sense of unity across organisations, roles, and ranks — all driven by the same mission: keeping people safe.
A Shared Mission
We want to thank Satia Rai F.ISRM DIR.IPSA for the kind invitation, and IPSA and The Security Institute for organising such a thoughtful and energising day. We also applaud every industry body and organisation that hosted events throughout the week — each one a vital contribution to a growing movement to recognise our frontline workforce.
What Comes Next?
Let’s carry that energy forward — beyond a single day.
Let’s start conversations that lead to better visibility, stronger support, and more opportunities for our frontline teams.
Here’s how we can all play a part:
Say thank you.
Take notice.
Keep the momentum going.
At Leverage Security, our mission is rooted in service; protecting the communities we are entrusted with, every single day.
